Lisa Leslie

Lisa Leslie, born on 7 July 1972, is an American former professional basketball player who later coached the Triplets in the BIG3 league and worked as a studio analyst for Orlando Magic broadcasts. In 2002 she became the first player to dunk in a Women's National Basketball Association game, and ESPN.com ranked her fifth on its 2021 list of the league's greatest players. After a career at the University of Southern California she was the number seven pick in the inaugural 1997 WNBA draft and spent eleven seasons with the Los Angeles Sparks until retiring in 2009, earning three league MVP awards, eight All-Star selections and two championships. With USA Basketball she won four Olympic gold medals, in 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008, and two FIBA World Championships. She entered the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015 and again in 2026 with the 1996 Olympic team, and the FIBA Hall of Fame in 2022.
