Leslie "Les" Norman (December 2, 1939 to December 2010) was a Canadian box lacrosse goaltender, born in Sexsmith, Alberta, who spent his career with the New Westminster Salmonbellies. He replaced the legendary Bunny Joseph in 1959, was named a first-team all-star and rookie of the year, and led the club to a four-game Mann Cup sweep that spring. He won the Cup again in 1962 and a third time in 1965, when he was named the series most valuable player. On May 3, 1962 he posted a 27-save shutout, the first shutout in the history of the league that became the Western Lacrosse Association. When the Salmonbellies turned professional in the National Lacrosse Association in 1968, Norman backstopped them to the league title over Detroit. He was inducted into the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1989.
