Klay Thompson is an American professional basketball player, born on 8 February 1990, who is widely regarded as one of the best three-point shooters of all time. He played his first thirteen seasons for the Golden State Warriors, where he and Stephen Curry were known as the Splash Brothers, and the team selected him with the eleventh pick of the 2011 NBA draft after three seasons at Washington State. He won four NBA championships, in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022, and was a five-time All-Star. He also won gold medals with the United States national team at the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics. A torn ACL in the 2019 Finals kept him out for more than two and a half years before he returned in 2022.
