Katarina Witt

Katarina Witt is a German former figure skater, a two time Olympic champion in ladies singles who competed for East Germany at the 1984 and 1988 Winter Olympics. She is regarded as one of the greatest ladies singles skaters in history, remembered for combining strong technical skating with a charismatic and glamorous presence on the ice, and she is one of only two skaters, alongside Sonja Henie, to successfully defend an Olympic singles title.
