Ju Wenjun is a Chinese chess grandmaster born January 31, 1991, in Shanghai, who has held the Women's World Chess Championship title across multiple reigns beginning in 2018, defeating Tan Zhongyi in her first title match. She has successfully defended the championship several times since, including matches against challengers Aleksandra Goryachkina and Lei Tingjie, and is regarded as one of the most dominant women's chess players of her era, also having won the Chinese Women's Chess Championship.
