José Manuel Pinto Colorado is a Spanish former professional goalkeeper, born on 8 November 1975 in El Puerto de Santa María in the province of Cádiz. He came up through the youth system of Real Betis, made his La Liga debut there in the 1997-98 season and then moved to Celta de Vigo, where he won the Ricardo Zamora Trophy for 2005-06 and was eventually given the captain's armband. He signed for Barcelona in 2008 and spent most of his time there as the backup to Víctor Valdés, while being part of squads that won numerous titles, including three national championships and two Champions Leagues. Across a career of sixteen seasons he appeared in 160 top-flight games, and he also represented Real Betis again.
