Jordan Henderson

Jordan Henderson is an English professional footballer, born on 17 June 1990, who plays as a midfielder and represents the England national team. He is known for his leadership, versatility and physicality. He joined the Sunderland academy at the age of eight, made his first-team debut in November 2008, spent six months on loan at Coventry City in 2009 and signed for Liverpool in 2011, winning the League Cup there a year later. Appointed Liverpool captain in 2015, he lifted the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup in 2019, led the club to the 2020 Premier League title and was named FWA Footballer of the Year for that season. He won the FA Cup and the EFL Cup in 2022, left Liverpool in 2023 and later played for Al-Ettifaq, Ajax and Brentford. With more than ninety England appearances since his 2010 debut, he has played at seven international tournaments and was the first player to win England Player of the Year at both under-21 and senior level.
