John McEnroe is an American former professional tennis player known for his exceptional touch at the net, left-handed serve, and fiery on-court temperament. He won multiple Grand Slam singles titles in the late 1970s and 1980s, including at Wimbledon and the US Open, and was part of one of tennis's defining rivalries with Sweden's Bjorn Borg. After retiring from top-level competition he became a prominent tennis broadcaster and commentator.
