Joel Wapnick is a Scrabble player from Montreal, Quebec, best known for winning the 1999 World Scrabble Championship. He also won the United States National Scrabble Championship in 1983 and the Canadian National Scrabble Championship in 1998 and 2011, and reached the World Scrabble Championship finals in 1993 and 2001. He is one of only two players, along with Adam Logan, to have won the World Scrabble Championship, the United States National Scrabble Championship and the Canadian National Scrabble Championship. He is a professor emeritus of music at McGill University.
