Jobe Watson, born in 1985, is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Football Club in the Australian Football League. The son of three-time Essendon premiership player Tim Watson, he was drafted under the father-son rule in the 2002 national draft and captained the club from 2010 to early 2016. A dual All-Australian and three-time Crichton Medallist, he was one of 34 players suspended in the Essendon supplements saga. He originally won the 2012 Brownlow Medal but was ruled ineligible in 2016 and handed it back, and after a suspended 2016 season he played one more year before retiring. He now works as a commentator for the Seven Network.
