Jerrel Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, born on 27 March 1972 in Suriname, is a professional football manager and former player who moved with his family to Zaandam in the Netherlands, where he first played football, starting as a goalkeeper before becoming a forward. As a player he served AZ Alkmaar, Boavista, Leeds United, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, Middlesbrough, Charlton Athletic and Cardiff City, and won the Premier League Golden Boot in 1999 with Leeds and again in 2001 with Chelsea. He scored nine goals in 23 matches for the Netherlands national team and appeared at the 1998 FIFA World Cup. After retiring in 2008 he became a manager, leading Royal Antwerp, Burton Albion, Queens Park Rangers and Northampton Town, and later became an assistant coach for the Suriname national team.
