Jim McGuinness (born 16 November 1972) is a Gaelic football coach and former player who grew up in Glenties and is best known for leading the Donegal county team to the 2012 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. Called up to the Donegal panel in 1992 after impressing manager Brian McEniff, he played for the county until 2003, scored a goal in the 2002 Ulster final against Armagh, won Sigerson Cups with Tralee and with the University of Ulster at Jordanstown, and played for Ireland in the 1998 International Rules Series. As a coach he took Naomh Conaill to their first Donegal senior championship in 2005, then managed Donegal from 2010, winning three Ulster titles in four seasons before ending his first spell in 2014 after beating Dublin in the All-Ireland semi-final. He later coached in association football with Celtic, Beijing Sinobo Guoan and Charlotte Independence, and returned as Donegal manager in 2023.
