Jerry Lee Rice is an American former professional football wide receiver, born in 1962, who played 20 seasons in the National Football League, winning three Super Bowl titles with the San Francisco 49ers before finishing his career with the Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks. Widely regarded as the greatest wide receiver of all time, he set the NFL's single season record for receiving touchdowns with 22 in the strike shortened 1987 season and led the league in receiving yards and touchdowns six times each. He played college football at Mississippi Valley State, where he became the all time NCAA leader in receiving touchdowns, and was chosen by NFL Network's The Top 100: NFL's Greatest Players as the greatest player in league history.
