Jeremy Bonderman is an American former professional baseball pitcher who was born on October 28, 1982. He grew up in Pasco, Washington, and attended Pasco High School, where he became the only high school junior ever taken with a first round pick in the Major League Baseball draft after passing his GED tests and petitioning the league to make him draft-eligible. The Oakland Athletics chose him with the 26th pick in 2001, and in July 2002 he moved to the Detroit Tigers as the player to be named later in a three-team trade. He reached the majors at age 20 and pitched for Detroit from 2003 to 2010, starting for the Tigers in the 2006 American League Division Series, the American League Championship Series and the World Series. He made a brief return with the Seattle Mariners in 2013 before ending that year back in Detroit. He relied mainly on a two-seam fastball, a slider and a changeup.
