John Franks Jeff Galloway, born on July 12, 1945 and died on February 25, 2026, was an American Olympian and the author of Galloway's Book on Running. A lifelong runner and an All-American collegiate athlete, he was a member of the 1972 United States Olympic team in the 10,000 meters, and he stayed competitive through a successful masters running career. He led Galloway Productions, which runs training programs and events, owned two running specialty stores, wrote several books on training and wrote a monthly column for Runner's World magazine.
