Jayne Torvill is a British ice dancer born October 7, 1957, in Clifton, Nottingham, who skated in partnership with Christopher Dean. Together they won Olympic gold at the 1984 Sarajevo Games and Olympic bronze at the 1994 Lillehammer Games, were four time World Champions from 1981 to 1984, and won multiple European and seven British titles. Their 1984 Sarajevo free dance to Ravel's Bolero earned twelve perfect 6.0 marks from the judges and remains one of the most celebrated performances in British sporting history.
