Jari Kurri

Jari Kurri is a Finnish former professional ice hockey right wing, born May 18, 1960. He played for the Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, New York Rangers, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and Colorado Avalanche across an NHL career that began in 1980, winning five Stanley Cup championships with Edmonton alongside Wayne Gretzky. He became the first Finnish player to score 500 goals in 1992 and the eighth player in NHL history to reach 600 goals, doing so in his final season. In 2001 he became the first Finnish player inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, and his number 17 was retired by both the Oilers and Jokerit.
