John Arthur James "Jack" Bionda (September 18, 1933 to November 3, 1999) was a Canadian lacrosse and hockey player from Huntsville, Ontario who dominated lacrosse through the 1950s and early 1960s. He led the Brampton Excelsiors to the 1952 Minto Cup, won five scoring titles, and with the New Westminster Salmonbellies took the Mann Cup in 1958, 1959 and 1962, earning series most valuable player honours in 1959 and 1962. In hockey he played 93 National Hockey League games for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins between 1955 and 1959, then eight seasons in the Western Hockey League, mostly as a popular defenceman for the Portland Buckaroos. He is in the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame, Canada's Sports Hall of Fame and the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame, and the old ice surface at the Summit Centre in Huntsville still carries his name.
