Isiah Thomas

Isiah Thomas, born April 30, 1961 and known as Zeke, is an American former professional basketball player who played his entire professional career as a point guard for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest point guards of all time. Thomas was a two-time NBA champion with the Pistons "Bad Boys" teams of 1988-89 and 1989-90, an NBA Finals MVP, a five-time All-NBA Team member, a 12-time All-Star with two All-Star Game MVP awards and the 1985 assist leader. He was named to the NBA 50th and 75th anniversary teams and entered the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000. Before turning professional he led Indiana to the 1981 NCAA championship as a sophomore and was taken second overall in the 1981 draft. After playing he worked as a Toronto Raptors executive, coached the Indiana Pacers, New York Knicks and Florida International University, and later served as president of the New York Liberty and as a television analyst.
