Henry Shefflin is an Irish hurling manager and former player from Ballyhale in County Kilkenny, born in 1979. A forward who began in the corner and later starred at centre and full-forward, he played for Kilkenny from his senior debut in 1999 until his inter-county retirement in 2015, and for the Ballyhale Shamrocks at club level. He won 10 All-Ireland championships with Kilkenny, more than any other player, along with 13 Leinster titles and six National Hurling League titles, and he is the only player to be named hurler of the year three times, in 2002, 2006 and 2012. He also won 11 All-Stars and made a record 71 championship appearances for Kilkenny. After playing he moved into management, leading Galway from 2021 to 2024 and now managing Kilkenny.
