Hans Haas (17 October 1906 to 14 May 1973) was an Austrian Jewish weightlifter, born in Vienna, who competed at the 1928 and 1932 Summer Olympics. He first became Austrian champion in 1926, and at the 1928 Olympic Games he won the gold medal in the lightweight class. Four years later, at the 1932 Olympic Games, he won the silver medal in the same lightweight class. Dr. George Eisen of Nazareth College included Haas on his list of Jewish Olympic medalists. The introduction of his Wikipedia biography supports this outline of an Olympic weightlifting career in the lightweight division, so his training, his club and his later life are left for a deeper pass rather than guessed at.
