Gilbert Arenas is an American former professional basketball player who played the point guard and shooting guard positions. He attended Grant High School in the Valley Glen district of Los Angeles, accepted a scholarship to the University of Arizona and was drafted by the Golden State Warriors with the 31st overall pick in the 2001 NBA draft. He was voted the NBA Most Improved Player for the 2002-03 season, then became a three-time NBA All-Star and a three-time member of the All-NBA Team with the Washington team. There he was nicknamed Agent Zero for his jersey number 0, and also Hibachi for the way he cooked opponents and heated up quickly. He was suspended for most of the 2009-10 season over handgun violations, was traded to the Orlando Magic in late 2010, and finished his career with the Memphis Grizzlies in 2011-12.
