Giba, born Gilberto Godoy Filho, is a Brazilian former volleyball player widely regarded as one of the greatest outside hitters in the sport's history. He won an Olympic gold medal with Brazil at the 2004 Athens Games along with numerous World Championship and World League titles across a long international career. He was named the world's best volleyball player multiple times by the sport's international federation.
