Gianfranco Zola, born on 5 July 1966, is an Italian football executive, manager and former footballer who played predominantly as a forward, and who was vice-president of the Lega Pro, the Italian Serie C league, at the time of the source. He spent the first decade of his career in Italy, winning the 1989-90 Serie A title with Napoli alongside Diego Maradona and Careca and the 1994-95 UEFA Cup with Parma. He then joined Chelsea, was voted the Football Writers' Player of the Year in 1996-97, won the 1997-98 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, two FA Cups and the League Cup, and was voted the greatest Chelsea player ever in 2003. Capped 35 times by Italy, he played at the 1994 World Cup and Euro 1996, and later managed West Ham United, Watford and Cagliari.
