Georgi Kandelaki is a Georgian former boxer and current boxing administrator, born on 10 April 1974. He competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics, and at the 1997 World Amateur Boxing Championships he became the first Georgian to win a World Championship. From 2002 to 2003 he held the World Boxing Union heavyweight title, a professional belt in the top weight division. His career therefore spans amateur and professional boxing, and he has continued in the sport as an administrator after retiring from the ring. His world championship win is a landmark for boxing in Georgia, since no earlier Georgian had reached that level of the amateur sport.
