Gary Gait is a Canadian-American former lacrosse player widely regarded as one of the greatest in the sport's history, known for popularizing the airborne behind-the-back goal that became known as Air Gait. He starred at Syracuse University, leading the team to multiple national championships, before going on to a long professional career and later becoming a college head coach. He and his twin brother Paul Gait are both members of the Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
