Gaël Clichy is a French footballer who played as a left-back and now works as a manager, currently head coach of the Ligue 3 club Caen. Born on 26 July 1985 in Toulouse, he came through amateur clubs in the Haute-Garonne area before joining Cannes, making his professional debut in the 2002-03 season. In 2003 Arsène Wenger brought him to Arsenal, where he was part of the Invincibles squad that went unbeaten in the league and, at 18 years and 10 months, became the youngest player to win a Premier League medal. He moved to Manchester City in 2011, adding two more Premier League titles and two League Cups, and left England in 2017 for İstanbul Başakşehir, winning the Turkish league with them in 2020. He represented France at every youth level and in the senior team, appearing at the 2010 FIFA World Cup and in the UEFA Euro 2012 squad.
