Lanfranco Frankie Dettori is an Italian flat racing jockey born December 15, 1970, in Milan, who was British flat racing champion jockey three times, in 1994, 1995 and 2004, and rode the winners of 288 Group 1 races worldwide across a career of more than thirty five years based mainly in England. He is best known for riding all seven winners on British Festival of Racing Day at Ascot on September 28, 1996, won twenty three British Classic Races, and was appointed MBE in 2001 for services to racing before retiring from race riding in 2026.
