Fan Tingyu is a Chinese professional Go player born on August 6, 1996, in Shanghai. He turned professional in 2009 and rose quickly through the ranks, winning the Ing Cup in 2012 and 2013 by defeating Park Junghwan three games to one in the final, which made him the youngest Ing Cup champion in the tournament's history and brought him one of the youngest 9 dan promotions on record. His domestic titles include three Xinren Wang championships between 2010 and 2012 and wins in the Liguang Xinxiu Cup, the Weifu Fangkai Cup, the Ahan Tongshan Cup, the Quzhou-Lanke Cup and the CCTV Cup, and he plays under the Chinese Weiqi Association, Zhongguo Qiyuan.
