Emre Can

Emre Can, born on 12 January 1994, is a German professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder or centre-back and captains Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. He began his senior career at Bayern Munich, mostly in the reserve side, before moving to Bayer Leverkusen in 2013. A season later Liverpool signed him for 9.75 million pounds, and he made more than 150 appearances for the club before joining Juventus in 2018. He went on loan to Borussia Dortmund in 2020 and then signed there permanently. He represented Germany from under-15 level to under-21 level, played at the 2015 U21 European Championship, made his senior debut in September 2015, and was in the squad for the 2016 European Championship and the Germany team that won the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup.
