Ellen Ripstein is an American editor and competitive crossword puzzle solver who won the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament in 2001 after competing in the event for many years. Alongside her crossword career she is also known for baton twirling, an unusual second discipline that has made her a recognizable figure within the American competitive puzzle community.
