Elene Gedevanishvili

Elene Gedevanishvili (born 1990 in Tbilisi) is a Georgian former competitive figure skater who competed at three Winter Olympics, in Turin 2006, Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014. She won European bronze in 2010, the first medal by a Georgian skater at an ISU Championship, and again in 2012. She won a Junior Grand Prix event in 2005, the first Georgian to do so. She trained in Moscow, then moved to New Jersey in 2006 after her mother's Russian visa was revoked, and received Georgia's Order of Honor for her achievements. She later studied psychology of exercise at Plymouth State University and works as a skating instructor.
