Edwin Soi

Edwin Cheruiyot Soi is a Kenyan middle and long distance runner who won an Olympic bronze medal in the 5000 metres. Born on 3 March 1986 in Kericho, he is listed with the South Rift club and stands 168 centimetres tall and weighs 53 kilograms. He reached the podium at the 2008 Summer Olympics, taking third place in the men's 5000 metres, and returned for the 2012 Summer Olympics in the same event, where he placed sixth in his heat of the first round. Indoors he won a bronze medal in the 3000 metres at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Istanbul in 2012. His personal best in the 5000 metres is 12 minutes 51.34 seconds, set in 2013.
