Eddie O'Connor, formally Edward O'Connor, is an Irish hurling manager and former player, born in October 1964, who played for the Kilkenny Senior Championship club Glenmore and for the Kilkenny senior hurling team for eight seasons, usually lining out as a right corner-back. He began his hurling career with Glenmore and enjoyed his greatest success when he was at right corner-back on the club's All-Ireland Club Championship-winning team in 1991, and he also won two Leinster club titles and five Kilkenny Senior Championships with the club. At inter-county level he was part of the Kilkenny minor team that won the All-Ireland Minor Championship, and with the senior team he won the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship in 1992 and 1993, as captain in 1993. He is identified here as the hurler to tell him apart from other people of the same name.
