Eddie Hall

Edward Stephen Hall, known as Eddie Hall, is a British retired strongman competitor born on 15 January 1988. He is best known for his former world record 500 kg (1,102 lb) deadlift and for winning the 2017 World's Strongest Man competition. He also won national strongman titles several times, including England's Strongest Man, Britain's Strongest Man and UK's Strongest Man. Later he ventured into other sports: in 2022 he was defeated by Hafthor Julius Bjornsson in boxing, in 2024 he lost to Brian Shaw in arm wrestling, and in 2025 he defeated Mariusz Pudzianowski in mixed martial arts. In 2025 he also launched a podcast titled The Good, the Bad and The Beast, in which he interviews strongman athletes and other athletes.
