Drazen Petrovic was a Croatian basketball player, a shooting guard regarded as one of the greatest European players in the sport's history, who starred for Cibona Zagreb and Real Madrid before joining the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers and New Jersey Nets in the early 1990s. He won Olympic medals with Yugoslavia and later Croatia and was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame after his death in a car accident in 1993 at age twenty-eight.
