Daniel Patrick Keenan, born in Elphin, County Roscommon, on 10 March 1919 and died on 19 September 1990, was an Irish Gaelic games administrator, Gaelic football coach, selector and former player who served as president of the Gaelic Athletic Association from 1973 until 1976. Introduced to Gaelic football in his youth, he first lined out as a minor with Elphin, and in a distinguished career spanning three decades won two championship medals with Elphin after an earlier one with University College Dublin. He won an All-Ireland junior medal with Roscommon before making his senior debut, played a key role for the county during a hugely successful era and won two All-Ireland medals and four Connacht medals. He was an All-Ireland runner-up once, played for the Connacht inter-provincial team on six consecutive occasions without winning a Railway Cup medal, and retired after the 1951 championship.
