Didier Drogba is an Ivorian former professional footballer who starred as a forward for Chelsea, becoming one of the club's most prolific and decisive goalscorers, including the winning penalty in the 2012 Champions League final. As captain of the Ivory Coast national team he was also widely credited with using his sporting stature to help call for peace during the country's civil conflict in the mid-2000s.
