Deron Williams

Deron Williams is an American former professional basketball player, born on June 26, 1984. He played college basketball for the Illinois Fighting Illini and was then drafted third overall in the 2005 NBA draft by the Utah Jazz. He became a three-time NBA All-Star while playing for the Jazz and the Brooklyn Nets, and during the 2011 NBA lockout he also played in Turkey for Besiktas of the Turkish Basketball League. Williams represented the United States men's national basketball team and won two Olympic gold medals, at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics. In 2025 he was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as a member of the Redeem Team.
