Denny McLain is an American former professional baseball pitcher who in 1968 won 31 games for the Detroit Tigers, becoming the last major league pitcher to win 30 or more games in a season. He won the American League Cy Young Award and Most Valuable Player award that year, before injuries and later legal troubles ended his career and public standing.
