Deborah Compagnoni is an Italian former alpine skier, born June 4, 1970, in Bormio. She won Olympic gold in the super-G at the 1992 Albertville Games and in the giant slalom at both the 1994 Lillehammer and 1998 Nagano Games, becoming the first athlete to win alpine skiing gold at three consecutive Winter Olympics. She overcame serious knee ligament injuries throughout her career to become the most successful female Italian alpine skier in history, dominating international giant slalom racing between 1994 and 1998.
