David Geoffrey Bickers, known as Dave Bickers, was an English professional motocross racer from Coddenham, Suffolk, born on 17 January 1938 and died on 6 July 2014. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1959 to 1969, won two European motocross championships, and was a member of British teams that won two Motocross des Nations events and two Trophée des Nations events. He was awarded the Motorcycle News Man of the Year award in 1960. In the early 1960s he was one of the top riders in scrambles, the sport later more widely called motocross; he started competing at 15, just before the eligible age of sixteen, and won sponsorship from Dot. Greeves factory rider Brian Stonebridge recommended him to Greeves, which hired him in 1958, and he rode two-stroke Greeves machines to win rounds of the 1960 250cc European Motocross Championship.
