Danilo Gallinari

Court and Net Team Sports

Danilo Gallinari is an Italian former professional basketball player, born on 8 August 1988, who played 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association. He began as a professional in 2004 with Casalpusterlengo in the third level of Italian basketball, moved through Edimes Pavia, and then played for Olimpia Milano from 2006 to 2008, where he was named the Italian league's best player under 22 and finished first in the league's efficiency ratings in his last season. In his only EuroLeague season with Milano he was named the competition's Rising Star. The New York Knicks drafted him sixth overall in the 2008 NBA draft, and after two and a half seasons with them he was traded to the Denver Nuggets in 2011. He later played for the Los Angeles Clippers, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Atlanta Hawks, the Washington Wizards and the Detroit Pistons, an NBA career the source counts over 16 seasons in one passage and 14 seasons in another, so the number of seasons is left as the source states it.
