Connor Andrew McDavid is a Canadian ice hockey centre born January 13, 1997, in Richmond Hill, Ontario, widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. Selected first overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers, he became the youngest captain in NHL history at nineteen and has won six Art Ross Trophies as the league's leading scorer and three Hart Memorial Trophies as most valuable player. He won the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP in 2024 despite Edmonton losing the Stanley Cup Final, and has won a joint record five Ted Lindsay Awards as the players' choice for most outstanding player.
