Bat-and-Ball Sports

Imran Khan is a Pakistani former international cricketer who captained the national team to victory at the 1992 Cricket World Cup, the country's only title in the tournament. He later entered politics and served as Prime Minister of Pakistan, a career outside the scope of this entry.

One of the greatest all-rounders in cricket: 362 Test wickets at 22.81 and a Test batting average of 37.69.

Imran Khan is rated among the finest all-rounders in cricket history. The International Cricket Council Hall of Fame, which inducted him in 2009, calls him one of the greatest all-rounders to ever play the game. He took 362 wickets in Test cricket at an average of 22.81, plus 182 wickets in one-day internationals, and his Test batting average of 37.69 shows that his batting alone could have earned him a place in the team.
