Cillian O'Connor

Cillian O'Connor (born 1992) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for Ballintubber and previously played for the Mayo county team. He is the leading all-time top scorer in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. He made his Ballintubber club debut as a teenager in 2010 and a year later made his Mayo debut in the Connacht Senior Football Championship against London, called up by James Horan, who had also given him his Ballintubber debut. He was named captain of Mayo in 2013 after winning two Young Player of the Year awards in the previous two years and led the team to the 2013 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final. He won GAA GPA All Star awards in 2014, as top scorer of the season, and in 2020, and in 2015 claimed the Golden Boot after a review of the scoring records raised his tally by one point.
