Hockey Codes

Cian Lynch is an Irish hurler, born in January 1996, who plays as a centre forward for the Patrickswell club in the Limerick Championship, where he has held the role of captain, and for the Limerick senior team. He is recognised for his skill and team play, is widely considered one of the best players in the current game and has often been described as a midfield magician. He is one of only two players to win the hurler of the year award more than once, the other being Henry Shefflin with three wins. He began his inter-county career at minor level with Limerick in 2012, winning back-to-back Munster Minor Championship titles, joined the under-21 team in 2014, helped it win the All-Ireland Under-21 Championship in 2015 and 2017, and joined the Limerick senior team for the 2015 season. His honours with Limerick include six All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championships, from 2018 to 2026.
