Chris Smalling

Christopher Lloyd Smalling, born on 22 November 1989, is an English professional footballer who plays as a centre-back. After youth football with the Millwall academy and a spell at non-League Maidstone United, he signed for Premier League club Fulham in June 2008 and helped them reach the UEFA Europa League final in the 2009-10 season. He joined Manchester United in 2010, played more than 300 times for the club and won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, a League Cup and a UEFA Europa League. He moved to Roma in 2019, winning the UEFA Europa Conference League there, and later played for Porto. For England he made his senior debut in September 2011, appeared at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2016, and earned 31 caps until 2017.
