Chris Paul is an American former professional basketball player, born on 6 May 1985, nicknamed CP3 and the Point God, and regarded as one of the greatest point guards of all time. After two years at Wake Forest he was the fourth pick of the 2005 draft by the New Orleans Hornets, won Rookie of the Year, and later played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs. He was a twelve-time All-Star, led the league in assists five times and in steals a record six times, and won two Olympic gold medals. He served as president of the National Basketball Players Association from 2013 to 2021 and is often called one of the best players never to win an NBA title.
