Brimin Kipruto

Brimin Kipruto is a Kenyan steeplechaser, born on 31 July 1985 in Korkitony in the Elgeyo-Marakwet area. He competed in the 3000 metres steeplechase at four Olympic Games, finishing second in 2004, winning the gold medal in 2008, then placing fifth in 2012 and sixth in 2016. At the World Athletics Championships he won gold in 2007, silver in 2011 and bronze in both 2005 and 2015, and he took bronze in the event at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi. His personal best of 7 minutes 53.64 seconds was set in 2011. Olympedia lists him at 175 centimetres tall and 55 kilograms.
